Match Report:

FC Barcelona was disappointed as they drew their La Liga game against Villarreal last week. They lost 2 points and dropped down to the 3rd position in La Liga after Real Madrid and Sevilla. This massive win 5-0 wasn’t only crucial for 3 points. But this win will bring back the club’s morale. And Luis Enrique’s men might save a drowning season.

The starting line-up of FC Barcelona was full of changes in the regular starting XI. Aleix Vidal was finally given the chance to prove him and he showed why he deserves to be started ahead of Sergi Roberto, who is naturally a central midfielder. There was G. Pique in the squad, and Samuel Umtiti and Mascherano started as the center back duo. Whereas, Jordi Alba started as the left back as always. Neither Rakitic nor Iniesta started alongside Sergio Busquets. Rafinha started on the place of Rafinha and Andre Gomez replaced Ivan Rakitic. Meanwhile, Neymar didn’t play and Arda Turan played the part on the left wing.

Since Lionel Messi scored a goal against Las Palmas, he has now scored against all the 19 teams present in La Liga. Moreover, he has now scored against 35 teams in La Liga. Previously, this record was held by Real Madrid’s Raul Gonzalez. But Messi has snatched the record. Moreover, Raul congratulated his rival Messi for creating the history. He also expressed the joy he gets by watching Messi play in La Liga every week. Although Raul is a Los Blancos’ legend, his statement could earn him stick from his fans.
