Lionel Messi hat-tricks for Argentina. In June 2004, Messi debuted for Argentina, taking part in in an under-20 friendly match against Paraguay. In 2005 he was a part of a team that won the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championship within Netherlands. There, he won the Golden Ball and also the Golden Shoe, scoring in last four of Argentina’s matches and netting a total of six for the tournament. Messi made his full international debut in a match played against Hungry in 2005. He was substituted during 63rd minute but was sent off after 2 minutes as he was accused of headbutting a defender who was pulling his shirt. After that, Messi took the international football by storm by scoring a huge number of goals. But he couldn’t perform as good as he performs at Barcelona. And that’s the reason he hasn’t won any major trophy with the country and gets heavy criticism for this. Despite all this, Messi has been sensational for Argentina and has a total of 4 hat-tricks with the country.

One of the most memorable performances of Lionel Messi includes his performance against Brazil in an international friendly in 2012. Messi scored 3 goals and all his goals came when his team was either losing or drawing. The final goal by Messi was an absolute beauty and was his first goal nominated for Pukas award.
3. Argentina vs Guatemala(2013):
Messi scored his 3rd hat-trick for the country while playing an international friendly against Guatemala in 2013. The first goal was a long range screamer followed by a penalty which he won when he was fouled in the box while he was dancing away from the defenders. Third goal was an easy tap-in from the center of the box from a pass by a team-mate from the right wing.
4. Argentina vs Panama(2016):
The footballing God shows his class once gain. Messi got an injury in the warm matches of Copa America 2016. His team played against Panama and he was benched as he hadn’t fully recovered. He was brought off the bench on around 60th minute and the show began. 3 goals in 19 minutes, one of the fastest hat-tricks of his career. He was criticized a couple of days before the game but used his performance to shuthis haters. He is undoubtedly the greatest ever.
