The UK-based firm Deloitte has released a list of top 20 richest football clubs in the world as per the revenues they generated in the previous season. There is some surprise position swapping in the list. Real Madrid has dramatically fallen from the first position after staying on the top for 12 years. There are a couple of more inclusions in the list that might be unexpected. But they have earned some big revenue in the following year. Lets have a look at the list.

20. Leicester City FC

They also won DFB-Pokal and progressed to the Champions league semi-final. Moreover, Bayern Munich’s revenue saw an increment of 25% as compared to the past year.
3. Real Madrid
The 11 times Champions league winner Real Madrid topped the list for the 12 consecutive years. But they have fallen directly from the 1st spot to the 3rd. Although their revenue in 2016 increased as compared to the previous year. But this wasn’t enough for them to retain the position. They had £463.8 million revenue in 2016 after winning UEFA Champions league, UEFA Super Cup, and club World Cup.
2. FC Barcelona
The Catalans retained their 2nd position in the list of richest clubs. Barcelona won a domestic double and a Spanish Super Cup in 2016 and earned a revenue of £463.8 million. They finally undid their bitter rivals, Real Madrid.
1. Manchester United
Since Sir Alex Ferguson has left the club he managed for 27 years, Manchester United is struggling under different managers. They couldn’t manage a single league title after that.
